The Friday night Pop Music Series opens with “Through the Years” Featuring Don Gatlin with the Kenny Rogers’ Original Band (Friday, July 15) and is followed by “The Greatest Piano Men” celebrating the world’s greatest pianists and showmen from Beethoven and Liberace to Elton John, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder and more (July 22). On July 29, “Magic of Motown” rocks the Pavilion with the incredible harmonies and smooth moves made famous by the Temptations, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Earth, Wind & Fire. Finally, New Philharmonic, under the baton of Maestro Kirk Muspratt, presents an evening of pops, marches and movie scores (Aug. 5). Audiences are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the Friday night concerts to benefit the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry and College of DuPage Student Fuel Pantry.
