“Little Orphan Annie” is turning 100 years old. While the character is well known, most people don’t know that the comic was created in Harold Gray’s home (that is still standing today!) and is still one of the most iconic and enduring comic strips of all time. “Leapin’ Lizards! A Hundred Years of Little Orphan Annie” is the newest exhibit at the Lombard Historical Society that honors Gray and is a tribute to the enduring power of storytelling, the magic of comic art, and the nostalgia of a bygone era.
