Exploring the local history of World War II, Answering the Call: Naperville at War 1941-1945 includes the stories of the Naperville citizens who served in all branches of the military, Japanese internment workers who came to work here, local "Rosie the Riveters" at Kroehler Manufacturing Company, and more. Visitors will learn how Naperville citizens came to see their role in helping with the war effort and how that changed over the duration of WWII. The exhibit concludes with a look at life after the war, how the soldiers who came home formed bonds related to their experiences, and how Naperville was changed forever.
Answering the Call: Naperville at War 1941-1945 is included in general museum admission, and tickets can be purchased at NaperSettlement.org. Naper Settlement is open on Tuesdays-Saturdays from 10AM-4PM and Sundays from 1-4PM. The museum is closed on Mondays.
