On Saturday, August 13, the Lombard Historical Society will be hosting a family-friendly picnic to celebrate the coming of autumn.
Come to the front lawn of the Sheldon Peck Homestead between noon and 4 p.m., rain or shine.
Seasonal games, live music, pioneer activities, lemonade and s'mores over the camp fire. Feel free to bring a blanket and picnic.
Plank Road Folk Music Society will be playing from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
The museum will be open for visitors to immerse themselves in the life of abolitionist and renowned folk artist Sheldon Peck.
Attending families, please register so there is an accurate head count for crafts and food.
