Three high school musicians each to perform a solo concerto accompanied by the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra
The Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce the 2026 Rising Stars of Stanger performance sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst. The concert features the three finalists of the Stanger Young Artist Competition performing concerto selections alongside the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Assistant Conductor Eli Chen on Saturday, May 16 at 3PM at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church.
Soloists Ella Wimbiscus (15), Francesca Gaus Ehning (17), and Adrian Gonzalez (15) are local high school students and the division winners of the first round of the Stanger Competition.
Program Highlights:
ANTONÍN DVOŘÁK – Cello Concerto in B Minor, Op. 104, 1st Mvt
CLEMENCE de GRANDVAL – Oboe Concerto, Op. 7, Mvt III
SERGEI PROKOFIEV – Piano Concerto No. 3, Mvt I

What’s Interesting
This public concert is the final round of the Stanger Young Artists Competition. Competition judges, embedded in the audience, will carefully listen to the performances before selecting and announcing the winner from the stage.
