The Lombard Historical Society in partnership with the Lombard Park District invites you to an evening in the oldest cemetery in Lombard. Staff and volunteers will guide attendees on a candlelit tour through the cemetery where they will meet past residents of Lombard that lived here over a hundred years ago. Listen to the bizarre, admirable, and ridiculous things that these people did that, really, when you think of it, are pretty much the same types of things that people do today.
This program is geared toward adults, but kids ages three and up (accompanied by adults) are welcome too. Wear sensible shoes. The terrain is bumpy. Feel free to bring your flashlight. Sorry, it is unsafe at night for strollers, wheelchairs or baby carriers.
Location: Lombard Cemetery, also known as Babcock’s Grove Cemetery
South Main Street at Washington Boulevard in Lombard
(Meet at the West Gate of the cemetery 15 minutes before your starting time to check in)
Children ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. -
