Fall into Color

Fall is upon us. There is a bit of chill in the air, the days are getting shorter and the leaves on trees are beginning to show their brilliant colors. DuPage County is the perfect place to surround yourself with the sights, smells and tastes of fall.

There are so many things to do during this season. Treat yourself and savor the local fall seasonal food and drink flavors being served up along charming downtown main streets. Take a break and enjoy a brisk walk in a forest preserve and feel the healing power of nature and the outdoors. The opportunities to enjoy this colorful season are endless.

Be sure to attend The Morton Arboretum’s Fall Color Festival in October. The grounds are layered with mosaics of red, orange, gold and deep blue colors glimmering under the autumn sky and the festival is tons of fun for the entire family. Another event you won’t want to miss is the Danada Fall Festival held on the second Sunday in October. This family favorite features hayrides, family activities, horse performances that may include a demonstration by Nick, the painting horse and a nature art show.

As we approach the end of the fall season, families and friends will come together to celebrate and give thanks. When you're looking for a fall culinary adventure that's not just about the food, DuPage County is the place to be with hundreds of restaurants and a wide variety of cuisines, many of which will be served on Thanksgiving Day.

There are so many ways to fall into color this fall in DuPage.

Happy coloring!
