As America marks its 250th anniversary in 2026, DuPage County invites residents to capture the people, places, and moments that define life here today.
Together, these photos will create a lasting snapshot of DuPage County during the historic America250.

Photo Contest Overview
We know a picture is worth a thousand words. DuPage residents are encouraged to submit photographs that reflect life in DuPage County in 2026, including but not limited to:
Historic landmarks
Community events
Nature and outdoor spaces
Cultural diversity
Public service
Local traditions
Everyday moments that tell a story
Together, these photos will form a meaningful collection that honors DuPage County as part of America’s semiquincentennial celebration.
Contest Categories
Submissions will be accepted in two categories:
Youth Category: Ages 10-17
Adult Category: Ages 18 and older
Each category will be judged separately, with winners recognized in both groups.
Contest Dates
Photo submission period: March 2, 2026 through November 2, 2026
Eligible photo capture dates: Photos must be taken in DuPage County between March 2, 2026 and November 2, 2026.
How to Enter
1. Take a photo in DuPage County during the eligible timeframe
2. Complete the entry form and upload your photo directly on this page
3. Select the appropriate category (Youth or Adult)
4. Submit your entry by November 2, 2026
Each photographer may submit up to two photos total.
Eligibility & Guidelines
Youth entrants must be ages 10-17 and have parent or guardian permission to participate
Adult entrants must be 18 years or older
Photos must be taken in DuPage County during the eligible timeframe
Each photographer may submit no more than two photos
Entrants must own the photo and have consent from any individual featured in the image
By submitting a photo, participants grant permission for images to be used in DuPage County and Discover DuPage communications, exhibits, and promotional materials.
Recognition & Showcase
Winning entries from both the Youth and Adult categories will be honored at the December 8, 2026 DuPage County Board meeting.

Social media and digital campaigns
Exhibits and public showcases celebrating America’s 250th anniversary
