Competitive cycling is back in Downtown Lombard with the Lombard Cycling Classic. As part of Chicago Grit, the Lombard Cycling Classic is a one-day, all-day, event expected to welcome upwards of 1,000 amateur and professional cyclists, and their guests, from around the world to Lombard on July 21, 2026.
THE COURSE
Located in the downtown area, the course offers an exciting criterium featuring both a narrow and technical back side along Michael McGuire Drive, a wide-open sprint finish stretch on St. Charles Road, and a start/finish line near the local favorite Babcock's Grove House.
Bring the kids out to see the fastest bicyclists in the country — and start a new tradition by joining the Kids & Family Community Ride.
Check in will take place 4:30 PM to 5:45 PM before the 6:00 PM start. All riders must bring their own bicycle, and helmets are required to participate.
