In the timeless words of Shakespeare, "What's in a name?" Naming a business is both an art and a science, blending creativity with strategic thinking. One must carefully think of something that's catchy and will stick for years to come. Oftentimes, it comes from a family name, a memory, or something unique to the establishment. When the name is well-chosen, it creates an instant connection.

With Anyway's, an establishment both in Bloomingdale and Oakbrook Terrace, the name comes from a memory. Owner George Lamberis named his establishment after a local bar named ANYWAY in northern Greece, where his family's summer home was located. This was a place where George had many fond memories and would always come to mind when he heard the expression "anyways". He also realized how many times that expression is used in conversations. In naming the restaurant Anyway's, George hopes his restaurant will be thought of in the same way each time the expression is used.

The concept was to create a pub and restaurant similar to many of the establishments George would frequent in the north side neighborhoods of Chicago, which he felt the suburbs lacked. The restaurant's menu is mostly Americana, with a few touches of traditional Greek dishes, such as spanakopita, gyro, baklava, and more.

What's more, George and his team work hard to get their name out into the community, whether it be sponsoring youth and adult sports teams or hosting school fundraisers. It's with efforts like this that Anyway's has loyal customers that come in on a regular basis. When people think of Anyway's, they think of good food, good company, and good times.
