In the timeless words of Shakespeare, "What's in a name?" Naming a business is both an art and a science, blending creativity with strategic thinking. One must carefully think of something that's catchy and will stick for years to come. Oftentimes, it comes from a family name, a memory, or something unique to the establishment. When the name is well-chosen, it creates an instant connection.

One week every summer, a suburban Chicago family of five would pack up their station wagon and head up to Northern Minnesota, where they would embark upon their annual fishing trip to the Northwoods.  As kids, the three brothers felt they were missing out on the adventures of Disneyland and Sea World that their classmates got to experience. Who wanted to spend their only family vacation on a lake, inside of a forest, in the middle of nowhere?

What the brothers soon realized was that no matter what everyone else was doing or where they were going, the place in the middle of nowhere was their "happy place". A place where fun, family and friends were in abundance. A place where all of their worries just drifted away. That was the inspiration for Driftwood Grille!  Restaurant….Lodge…call it what you will, but it’s their 21st century take on the classic Northwoods Supper Club’s of Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The warm and inviting atmosphere was created as a place to meet friends, be with family, talk to strangers, or just relax and unwind. The interior of the restaurant is reminiscent of a cabin up in the woods; you'll want to pack up the car and go camping yourself. Enjoy one of their many specials from their scratch kitchen, like the all-you-can-eat fish fry on Fridays or the slow roasted prime rib on Saturdays or even the weekly features which change from week to week and season to season.
