Looking to do some shopping in DuPage County? Soapy Roads of Lombard is a must. As you step through the quaint wooden door, a symphony of fragrances envelops you, transporting you to a place where the possibilities are endless, creativity is encouraged, and self-care is a must.
Who are the creative minds behind this idea? Brooke and Joe Bingaman, a husband and wife team who are also soap-making soulmates. They were both independent soap-makers for years before meeting. On their second date, they both brought their own soap-making recipes and techniques and almost instantly found their life's purpose. They developed their proprietary formula that night and created our signature scent, Rose and Clove. As a skin cancer survivor, Brooke also has a very personal quest to develop clean and safe skin and home care products.
In 2017, they brought their knowledge together to form Soapy Roads of Lombard, with the promise to make a healthier, handcrafted soap with nothing synthetic. Their specialty organic-based soap is made in small batches using the rustic hot process method, the oldest form of soap-making. The shea butter bars are made fresh daily from a family recipe and made with human hands. Best of all, their soaps are safe for the environment, as they don't test on animals and their soaps are plastic-free.
Soapy Roads of Lombard is more than just a shop; it's a haven for those who seek solace in the simple pleasures of life. It's a place where time slows down, allowing you to indulge in the art of self-care and rejuvenation. One of the ways you can do this is to make something for yourself! Soapy Roads has a "do it yourself" bar for creating custom soaps, candles, natural perfumes, and more. It's not just limited to the store; they are also available for booking public and private events.
Whether you're embarking on a journey of exploration or seeking a moment of tranquility in your hectic day, this shop promises to transport you to a realm of pure bliss. Join in on the fun, and stay sudsy!
